Medical Experts

IMR operate and maintain an extensive database of medical experts that provides national coverage for the provision of medical reports, diagnostic and rehabilitation services.

Our network of experts are all carefully selected and accepted onto our panel after full consideration of their qualifications and experience in the production of CPR compliant reports for the Medico Legal Industry.

Our database and current client base covers all expert disciplines with experience in RTA, low velocity impact, serious trauma, industrial disease, medical negligence and EL/PL cases.

Medical Reporting

IMR are fully committed to the provision of a service that is second to none and to achieve this goal, we have fully embraced the latest technology and the efficiencies and opportunities that it can provide.

As part of our service level standards, IMR will:

• Provide a list of 3 medical expert’s with CV’s within 1 working day of receipt of request, an enhancement to this service is gained through the use of our On-line nomination facility. (click here for details).

• Where appropriate, act in compliance with Insurer Protocols negating the requirement to provide a list of medical experts and immediately instructing the medical expert.

• As and when appropriate, arrange an appointment for the examination of the client within 4 weeks of receiving instructions.

• Directly notify the client in writing and by SMS text message where appropriate of the name of the expert and the date, time and venue of the appointment with a copy to the instructing party.

• In 90% of cases provide a medical expert no more than 20 miles from the client’s home.

• Subject to the expert being in possession of all the information they require, to send the medical report to the instructing party within 14 days of the examination and in any event within 10 weeks of instruction.

• Ensure that all medical evidence supplied to the instructing party is quality checked and complies with Part 35 of the CPR and any associated protocols or directions.

• Throughout the process provide the instructing party with access to our
On-line Fileview facility which allows the user to view selected up to the minute progress of the case over the internet, avoiding the need to pick up the phone or prepare further correspondence. (click here for details)

Medical Records

If requested, IMR will source and obtain all of the client’s medical records, with our technologically enhanced service including a facility where the medical records are scanned and stored electronically on to our system.

This advanced service provides the instructing party or medical expert, password protected instant access to the medical records online via our Fileview facility and avoids the unnecessary security risk of transporting medical records through the postal system.

On-Line Reporting/KPI’s

IMR use the Eclipse Proclaim operating system and have developed business to business linkage and a web based case tracking facility, all of which enables the fast and effective passage of information in a paperless environment.

The system features a powerful report generator which enables the preparation of bespoke management information tailored to the requirements of the business partner. The system is accessible by password to enable the business partner to obtain live management information and benchmark the service against set key performance indicators. (click here for details)

Rehabilitation and Diagnostic Services

In appropriate circumstances and in accordance with the medical expert’s recommendations, IMR can offer a complete diagnostic and rehabilitation service from our national network of providers.

On the occasions where a medical expert requires further diagnostic investigations to provide for the completion of the medical report or where the expert has recommended a certain form of rehabilitive treatment, IMR can handle the process from beginning to end.

Our Range of Diagnostic and Rehabilitation Services include the following:

• Pain Management

IMR can provide these services on a credit basis subject to the prior authority of the instructing party.
